David Williams

SOUTHWESTERN CINEMATIC LANDSCAPE MUSIC

The desert Southwest via 4 Track Cassette Recorder, laptop, and one of it's musicians

ON THE INTERNET NO ONE KNOWS YOU’VE BEEN CRYING

David Williams is a musician, songwriter, recording artist, producer, film composer, singer, and teacher with a reverence for the process of making art.

INTO THE GEOLOGIC SOUTHWEST

The tour begins and ends on a dirt road. Highways, canyons, skyscrapers, ruins, rapids, motels and deserts appear and erode away in a perennial process where, given enough time, even mountains are as vaporous as clouds. Better pull off and make a field recording.

INTRO is a feature film starring David Williams which showcases his stripped bare songs and unusual lifestyle. The film was nominated alongside Scorsese and Herzog for Best International Documentary at the Torino Film Festival in Italy. David has contributed to more than 20 albums and recorded 6 of his own. His music has also appeared on NPR, Paste, Daytrotter, and the New York Times. His live performance is dynamic, haunting, original, and he has shared stages with some of the most widely known artists today.
